The mission goals of the American Indian Warrior Association, AIWA, are:
1. To participate in public and cultural events that will contribute to the positive image of American Indian Tribal heritage.
2. To encourage and support efforts to improve the general circumstance of all American Indian Military Veterans.
3. To promote by leadership example, mentally and physically healthy American Indian Veterans in the greater community.
Additionally, AIWA represents an honorable and respectful military veteran image for Native American Indians and the public in general. The AIWA Color Guard is available for: Powwow grand-entry, parades, Indian community functions and Veteran's activities. The AIWA Color Guard will acknowledge and appreciate all requests and invitations to participate in traditional Tribal and Veteran activities.
